ONCE UPON A TIME, a company called Costex Tractor Parts specialized in providing replacement parts for heavy equipment. Among the many products they sold was a very special oil filter. Unlike any other filter, this one was created with an almost magic-like technology that allowed it not only to filter the oil but also detect any problem in equipment before it would progress.One day, after several years of being in the warehouse, one of the workshop mechanics accidentally installed the oil filter into an old, abandoned machine. Suddenly, the filter began to move and emit sounds.It turned out that, due to its advanced technology, the oil filter had acquired its own consciousness and had developed a unique personality. At first, the CTP team members didn’t know what to do with the filter, but they soon realized that it was a very valuable companion since it could detect machinery problems before they became serious issues; this allowed mechanics to repair them in the nick of time.
