Our EG1 porting combines our standard 10 and 2 o’clock porting position (4 ports) with a single 12 o’clock front port. The combination of these 5 ports provides the maximum amount muzzle down force with the least amount of velocity loss. It forces the muzzle downward, countering the typical muzzle rise and enables lightning fast target acquisition on follow up shots. Our EG1 Ported G17 boasts an impressive 45-50% muzzle rise reduction with only a 3-5% velocity loss under 25 yards. When a barrel vents under the slide (porting) not all the gasses will escape through the ports in the slide. This can cause heat to build up and that heat does not escape from flat surfaces efficiently. The heat will travel along flat surfaces until it reaches an edge to release from. Our EG1 Porting comes with slide milling and slide engraving which was specifically designed to increase the number of edges which heat can dissipate from and offers the user additional texture for slide racking and/or press checks. A flared mag-well and a cutout at the front of the frame give the user more speed during reloading when fractions of a second matter. A reversible enlarged magazine catch, changeable at user level as well as the ambidextrous slide stop lever accommodate left and right-handed operators. The rifling and the crown of the barrel were slightly modified for increased precision. Includes three 10-round magazines.
